How to educate a talented child

Despite all attempts of parents to make their children brilliant, experience shows that this is useless. This is a gift of nature and can't be developed by any special methods. Parents don't believe in it and try hard to make their children cleverer than they were in their own childhood. But when a child is borne to become a prodigy, parents usually don't know what to do with it and often make serious mistakes in the process of upbringing this child. They rarely turn to children's psychologists and think that they are clever enough to cope with this child independently. For nothing! Their wrong methods of upbringing can cause a lot of harm to their child and lead to mental disorders. Of course, it is better to avoid mistakes than to correct them.

If you see, that your child is unusual, can solve difficult mathematical problems, you should turn to specialist at once in order to justify your child's brilliance. If your family psychologist confirms the fact that your child is brilliant you should work out an individual approach to it. First of all you must send it to a specialized school, where all children are clever, where they are educated according to modern types of curriculum and where teachers approach individually to every child. This is necessary not even to develop your child into a professor, but to avoid all possible and unnecessary stressful situations which may occur in an ordinary school. As a rule children, which are different from others have many problems with their classmates and feel lonely. They experience difficulties in communication with their peers and can't make friends. If you send your gifted child to a specialized school, you are likely to avoid these problems, because your child will feel equal to other children and will be able to avoid communicative problems with its peers.
