Is brilliance men's destiny only?
Nowadays the issue of equality is very topical. In advanced societies racial equality is attained, people enjoy equal rights and are proud of these achievements. We must admit, however, that men and women are still not equal in their rights. It is still easier for a man to make career and become prosperous. Many talented women are deprived of this opportunity. Why does it happen so? Does it mean that women are not so clever as men or they lack some qualities to become prosperous? By no means! Scientists claim that women in general are cleverer than men, they are more gifted by nature and it is especially noticeable at school where girls usually study better than boys.
One more example. When a couple arrives to a foreign country and lives there for some time, the woman learns quicker to speak the language of this country and usually serves as an interpreter for her husband. It happens very often. Having lived in a foreign country for many years, women usually speak almost without any accent, while men speak much worse and easily reveal their origin. These facts prove that women are cleverer than men. Then why does history prove the contrary of the statement?
Each brilliant idea goes through three stages before its implementation: its birth, plan for its implementation and implementation itself. A genius has to do all this to become famous, but people, who can do all these steps, occur very seldom. They usually need help and assistance. Men can easily resolve this problem. Their wives usually become their assistants or even "secretaries". They sacrifice their own brilliance for the sake of their husbands. They often present their husbands with their own ideas and help them to implement these ideas and thus all success is usually attributed to men.
Men don't give birth to children. This fact facilitates greatly their chances to become famous for their brilliance. Men are not burdened with household affairs and can easily shift them onto their wives. They consider this conduct absolutely justified. For them the ends justify the means. As for women there's nothing for them but to agree. They take up the whole burden of household matters to give way to their husbands to become famous. It is worth mentioning, that women like fame more than men and if they don't have an opportunity to become famous themselves, they choose to be a wife of a famous man.
Besides, many young talented women refuse to make academic career, which could prove their brilliance, because they understand that it is useless. It is very hard to combine career and family and women have to make their choice. Each woman wants to have children. This natural wish is often stronger than the desire to become famous. For the majority of women career and fame is sacrificed for the sake of family, children and husbands.
